About Us

The Leggat Auto Group's history began in 1922, when Roy Leggat opened Ruggles Trucks in Hamilton Ontario. As time went by, the Leggat family migrated from the truck business into the automobile industry with the opening of our first store, Leggat Pontiac in Burlington, Ontario.

Today we own and operate eleven franchise dealerships - Honda, Toyota, Acura, Mazda, Chevrolet, Pontiac, Buick, Cadillac, GMC, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Lincoln, Ford, Saturn and Saab - and a National Leasing company. A lot of changes and growth have occurred over the years, but our mission never has. We still believe in developing "Customers For Life".

Our head office is based in Toronto, Ontario Canada with locations in in Owen Sound, Meaford, Port Elgin, Toronto, Burlington, Hamilton, Ancaster and Milton. Our parent company owns and operates 10 Franchise Dealerships and a National Leasing company which gives us access to a tremendous variety of vehicles and lenders.
